Have you visited Wolfe Tone Street, and did you have an experience you could not explain? Click “Add Your Experience” and share your story.
A late-night walker on Wolfe Tone Street once reported being shadowed by a white figure – believed to be “Lord Luttrell, the King of Hell.” The story ties the apparition to a real killing here in 1717.
In 1717, Colonel Henry Luttrell was shot in his sedan chair on what was then Stafford Street. Over time, retellings swapped the Colonel with his son – Simon Luttrell – who had connections to the infamous Hellfire Club.
I am not aware of any recent encounters, but if you have anything to share – do Add Your Experience!
