Situated in the heart of Drogheda, this 3-star hostel occupies a former Georgian townhouse, just a short walk from some of the town’s most historic landmarks, including Magdalene Tower, Millmount, and St. Laurence’s Gate.

Historic Account (c. 1800s):
According to local lore, a former resident once witnessed a ghostly figure inside the house. Soon after, disturbing noises were heard coming from the children’s bedroom. The children were found bruised, the floorboards ripped up, and the family’s nanny had disappeared. She reportedly died days later, overcome by the shock of what she had witnessed.

More Recent Sightings:
One guest claimed to have woken in the night to find a pale young boy standing silently in the centre of the room. The figure vanished as soon as the guest moved.

2009 Investigation:
A paranormal team later reported a series of strange events: a bar of soap thrown by unseen hands, unexplained scratches on one investigator’s skin, movement in front of a mirror, a loud bang in the attic during a vigil, cutlery shifting on its own, bathroom noises, and the feeling of ghostly hands stroking a team member’s head. The children’s former bedroom was said to carry an oppressive, heavy atmosphere—suggesting the presence of both benevolent and more unsettling energies.
