In 2017, a Subway restaurant in Galway City, displayed a humorous yet pointed sign that read:
“Ouija boards and séances are not allowed to be performed in this shop. Haunt your own house.”
The store’s manager explained that she and several staff members believed the premises were already haunted, with ghostly activity reportedly centered on the building’s third floor. She also noted that the building dated back to the 1600s, adding weight to the claims of supernatural occurrences.
Kelly hoped the sign would discourage both staff and customers from attempting to invite further paranormal activity into the restaurant. — Editor There is a debate over which store this sign appeared in so I have left the location out. I also saw an item suggesting that teenagers were randomly bringing Ouija boards in to these places for the craic.
