Have you visited Rockhill House, and did you have an experience you could not explain? Click “Add Your Experience” and share your story.
Built in the 17th century, Rockhill House has served many purposes over the centuries. It was notably seized by Anti-Treaty forces during the Irish Civil War in 1922 and later operated as a military barracks for the Irish Defence Forces until its closure in 2009. After standing vacant for some time, the estate underwent extensive restoration and has since been reborn as a luxury country retreat.
Among the legends surrounding the property, the most enduring is that of the “Blue Lady” – a ghostly figure said to roam its corridors. Though rooted in local folklore and lacking any verified evidence, the story persists, bolstered by occasional reports from visitors and staff of unexplained occurrences.
