A very old story tells of phantom white lady that would appear on the road between Lamberton and Capoley. On a bright summer’s evening many (many!) years ago, a young man went out cycling along this route when he encountered the mysterious lady. He was particularly alarmed by the fact that she was carrying her head under her arm. As it happened, several others had encountered the same spectre on that road. Strangely, there have been no recent sightings… that I am aware of that is.
