Rathaldron Castle is a private country house located in Navan, county Meath. An old story recounts how two brothers once fell out over a woman and that one of them was slain in the Blue Room. Following the murder, it was said that loud footsteps would be heard in the hallways and on the staircase, furniture would move of its own accord and that doors would slam shut. A mass was offered to appease the angry spirit and after this point, the ghost was confined to the chapel.
