Queen Street Police Station in Belfast, constructed in the 1870s, was originally established as a children’s hospital before later being converted into a police barracks.

Paranormal activity has been reported near the former holding cells, including contact with what is believed to be the spirit of a child—possibly a remnant from the building’s time as a hospital. Another presence reportedly encountered in this area is that of a former member of the armed forces, known to have patrolled the station during his lifetime. It remains unclear whether this entity is interactive or simply repeating past duties in residual fashion.

One of the most unsettling areas in the station is a room distinguished by its black-painted walls, marked with chalk inscriptions. During an investigation conducted by a local paranormal research team, a clear vocal command—“get out”—was reportedly captured. This same room is also associated with the presence of a female detective who once worked in the building. Unlike other entities, she is not considered malevolent but is believed to continue her protective role in spirit, reflecting her commitment to serving the people of Belfast.
