In 2006, a young man named Callum shared a chilling account of the terror that befell his family. Following a minor head injury sustained by his sister, strange and unsettling events began to unfold. She was tormented by an unseen force that pulled away her blankets and even pushed her out of bed.

As her condition worsened, she was confined to bed rest, during which time the disturbances intensified, all seemingly directed at her. The sounds of incessant banging echoed throughout her bedroom, growing so loud that neighbors began to complain. While the activity subsided after her recovery, the respite was short-lived. The bed began to rise and fall unnaturally, pictures flew from the walls, and furniture shifted on its own.

Fearing for their children’s safety, the parents sent them to live with relatives. However, the disturbances followed, forcing them to return home. When the situation turned violent—with Callum’s sister being dragged and targeted by flying objects—the family sought help from priests. After several exorcisms to cleanse both the house and the girl, the activity gradually diminished and ceased altogether within a few months.

Callum’s account remains unverified, partly due to his family’s desire for privacy and the Catholic Church’s reluctance to acknowledge such events. Whether it was the overactive imagination of a teenager or genuine supernatural activity remains unknown. Yet, considering Kilmallock’s dark history of violence and bloodshed, it’s not implausible that some lingering force, stirred by centuries of turmoil, might have latched onto the young girl following her injury.
