The offices of the Westmeath Examiner are located in Blackhall, Mullingar. This area was developed on the site of a medieval monastic graveyard, dating to the thirteenth century. Staff working late at the modern office have seen doors opening and closing by themselves and witnessed ghostly figures moving through the building.
