The original entry referenced there being a dungeon at this location, but that is not the case. Narrow Water Castle was built as a private residence long after the Plantation and the War of the Three Kingdoms, so it is too modern.
A soldier is said to haunt the grounds near the gate, and it is believed that he is one of those killed in the Warrenpoint ambush in 1979. People along the Republic side of water have even recounted hearing gunfire. There have also been some other disturbances, relating to a previous owner who brought down a Priest’s Curse on himself. He was unable to pass a stretch of land in life and death. Horses of the house were found the next day covered in mud as though they had been racing along the shore, and a death carriage had been seen.
