The forlorn spectre of an elderly gentleman has been seen standing in the middle of a dirt track in the Maam Cross area of Connemara, County Galway. The exact location has not been identified but witnesses report that he is spotted on a road running alongside a hill and just after a sharp bend. The mysterious man does not move from his location and motorists essentially drive straight through him. Those who have seen him and who have checked their rearview mirror after the encounter say that he is still there and that he looks at you with a sad expression on his face.
