Have you visited Knockbrack House, and did you have an experience you could not explain? Click “Add Your Experience” and share your story.
Once a handsome Georgian residence on the outskirts of Monivea, Knockbrack House gained notoriety in its final decades for a string of strange and violent disturbances. According to witnesses, cutlery and crockery were hurled from the dining table by unseen hands, while servants heard footsteps and whispered voices in empty rooms.
On another occasion, a procession of black-clad figures entered through the front door, crossed the hall in silence, and vanished straight through a solid wall. Soon after, the household fell into decline, and the building was eventually abandoned and demolished in 1948.
Locals still point to the field where it stood and speak of odd lights moving where the great house once rose.
