Just off Greengraves Road, set back in a quiet field, stands a remarkable ancient structure known as the Kemp Stones—a portal tomb believed to date back to the Norse era. The site consists of five supporting stones that uphold a massive capstone, beneath which lies a burial chamber deep within the earth.

For generations, locals have spoken of strange occurrences at the site. Chief among them is the recurring apparition of a headless drummer boy, seen silently circling the stones under cover of night. Others have reported hearing eerie, unintelligible whispers in the stillness—voices with no clear origin. Some believe these are the lingering echoes of Norsemen buried deep below, their presence unsettled, their voices carried on the wind.
