According to an old story, a father and his three-year-old daughter tragically lost their lives near Howth Lighthouse in the 1800s. The father’s ghost is said to linger along the shoreline, calling out for his missing daughter, whose cries are sometimes heard drifting over the water. While this tale has endured, there are no verified historical records to support this specific event. Since its construction in 1817, Howth Lighthouse has been the site of many maritime incidents, but no official documentation exists of a tragedy involving a father and daughter.
