HMS Caroline was launched in 1914 and served as a combat ship during the First World War and as an administrative vessel during the Second World War. The ship was decommissioned in 2011 and is now in use as a museum, docked at Alexandra Dock in Belfast.
A man working onboard the ship reportedly heard the sound of tools moving onboard the otherwise empty vessel. There has also been talk of a stoker who hanged himself onboard the ship at some point and has haunted it ever since. One evening, a woman on a group tour greeted a stoker, but he ignored her. There were no stokers on board at that time.
