Many people love to walk around Grantstown Lough and get swept away by its serenity. But a few years ago, a visitor was out walking with a friend, when she stopped to avail of a photo opportunity. She sat on a wooden rail with her back to the lake, and her friend went to take the shot. But as she was sitting there, waiting for the photo to be captured, she said she felt a sudden force as if two unseen hands had pushed against her shoulders. If she hadn’t reacted quickly, she would have ended up in the water.
