In 1999, a family reported that their home was haunted by what they described as a “nice” ghost, with claims suggesting the spectral presence had been there for the past 20 years.
The spirit was said to be that of a middle-aged woman with dark hair always neatly tied in a bun. She was often seen observing the family from the staircase as they went about their daily lives.
The ghost reportedly interacted with the children, engaging them in conversation, and frequently engaged in classic poltergeist activity—mostly harmless—such as tapping noises, tidying cutlery, and the sounds of a sewing machine or knitting. However, the mother of the household claimed that, on one occasion, she was thrown from a chair.
Despite the mostly benign nature of the hauntings, the family believed the spirit was a former resident of the house who harbored some resentment toward the mother.
