A strange story from the late 1960s found its way into Peter McCartney’s Parade of Phantoms in 1993. A resident of the Glen Estate was returning home at 5 AM after picking up a relative from Aldergrove. As he turned onto Glenbank Road, he heard indistinct noises and spotted two shadowy figures.

“I saw two women wearing long habits that reached down to their feet,” he recounted. “They had laced chains around their necks with amulets about the size of a saucer. I couldn’t make out their faces, but their long, straight hair fell down their backs.”

The man became convinced that he had witnessed the apparitions of two women from the Bronze Age.
