Established in 2011, the Frank McCourt Museum occupies the middle floor of Leamy House, a Tudor-style building constructed in the 1840s that once served as a primary school for over a century.

During a paranormal investigation conducted by GhostEire, the team reported hearing unsettling sounds, including humming, the ghostly footsteps of children, and a feminine voice that called out during a séance held in a classroom. They also claimed to sense the presence of children in damp clothing and the spirits of two women.

Museum staff have also reported unexplained phenomena within the building, such as doors opening on their own, adding to the eerie reputation of this historic site.
