A former resident once stated on a public forum that a flat they lived in on Main Street, Stradbally, many years ago was haunted. Situated above a Chinese takeaway in the centre of town, the flat was reportedly the site of numerous unsettling experiences that eventually drove them to leave. Later tenants also stayed only briefly, allegedly for similar reasons.
