Cronin’s Bar in Crosshaven has been a local institution since the 1970s, but the building itself has a much longer story to tell. Long before the Cronin family took it over, the premises operated as Kennefick’s Hotel — a well-known seaside hotel that first opened its doors in 1892 and served visitors to Crosshaven for generations.

Today, the bar embraces both its heritage and its hauntings. Staff openly acknowledge the presence of a friendly resident ghost, and a photograph said to capture the mysterious figure is proudly displayed inside the pub. Regulars speak of the spirit with good humour, treating it as part of the charm of the old building rather than anything sinister.
