Over the course of two decades, an unassuming cottage located near Ballynageragh Bog was the site of at least five sudden and unusual deaths. Some theorised that the cottage was cursed at some point, while others believed that it may have been constructed on an ancient, sacred path and that this angered the fairy folk. National media even reported on the matter in 2014, with villagers – including the parish priest – calling for the cottage’s demolition.
I am not aware of the current status of this cottage. I have included this as a reference point only but have not included the exact location out of respect.
