For generations, there has been talk of of a headless apparition in the vicinity of Blackwater Bridge, located between Sneem and Kenmare.

An old story tells of a man who was enroute to deliver a letter when he was intercepted by an aggressive spirit as he went to cross the bridge. He drew his sword and prepared to fight, when another ghost, this time of a giant, headless man appeared. The ghostly assailant was distracted and chased the headless man up the cliffside, disappearing into the night.

Some claim that the headless entity still haunts the area to this day. If you have encountered anything odd in the area, share your experience!
