Once a grand Georgian townhouse, Ardee House gained notoriety in the early 1900s for a bedroom where guests were shaken awake by unseen hands. Doors slammed, furniture rattled, and heavy steps echoed through the corridors, though nothing ever moved in sight. Tenants avoided the room, and before long the whole upper floor was sealed off.

Demolished in the mid-20th century, Ardee House lives on in Dublin ghost lore as one of the city’s most violent domestic hauntings.
