Numbers 60-61 are currently occupied by the Disney Store.
A former member of staff once shared how she and her colleagues acknowledged that the store was haunted and that they had even named the ghost “Laura Ashley” – a reference to the store that had occupied the unit before Disney took it over.
One of the experiences shared detailed how she and a handful of colleagues were working the late shift (overnight) One night. During the late shift, a worker noticed a missed call on their mobile phone. When the number was checked, the call came from one of the fixed lines inside the store, but all colleagues had been accounted for and CCTV footage proved that nobody had made a call from that phone.
In her story, she also recalled how staff particularly disliked the third floor which had a feeling akin to that of an attic space, and that they were especially wary of a room on that floor that was always colder than the rest.
