When in use as a Vans Store, number 45 (which was vacant as at August 2024) appeared to be home to a poltergeist.
I am aware of a story that was shared relaying how the staff acknowledged that the store was haunted and tried to show respect to whatever was sharing the space with them. But it would appear that the feeling was not necessarily mutual. Staff reported that rails of clothes would topple over and that cash drawers would be thrown off counters when there was nobody present. They claimed that these incidents were even caught on CCTV.
Staff also shared that they would hear a colleague calling their name, but when they responded, the person that they believed was calling out to them knew nothing about it.
