PJ O’Shea Motors, a well-known repair and maintenance garage in Waterford, is said to be haunted by the spirit of Bill Hayes, an inventive former owner who ran the garage many years ago.
Both PJ O’Shea and his son have reportedly witnessed Bill Hayes’s ghostly presence. Local lore—possibly captured in the pages of the Sunday World—tells of eerie, unexplained activity within the garage.
In one particularly uncanny incident, PJ was bent over the bonnet of a car when a spectral figure floated past him and vanished into the office. Concerned, PJ followed—but found the office completely empty.
