Westport House

Westport House
Westport, Mayo, Ireland.

Many thanks to L. Johnson for suggesting that I include Westport House in this directory. I validate all suggestions and do my own research before publishing to see if there’s any more information I can share, so sometimes it can take a while for me to process them. Site users are (as always) welcome to suggest an amendment or to add their own experiences.

Sometimes, evidence of an alleged haunting is too vague for me to include it without query. A site user, or another source, may have referenced activity at this property or in the immediate vicinity, but as yet I have been unable to verify it. If you have had an experience at Westport House or you can add further information, you can suggest an amendment here.

Once home to a a castle owned by the sixteenth-century pirate queen Grace O’Malley, the echoes of those imprisoned by her can be heard in the dungeons of Westport House.
