Tintern Abbey

Tintern Abbey
New Ross, Wexford, Ireland.

Tintern Abbey is Cistercian monastery, originally founded c. 1200 near New Ross in County Wexford. The nave, chancel, tower, chapel, and cloister have been preserved for visitors to enjoy, along with the beautifully restored Colclough Walled Garden. The site also includes several signposted walking trails through the surrounding woodlands, making it a wonderful, serene spot for those seeking to reconnect with nature as well as spirit.

This peaceful spot is said to be haunted by the gentle souls of former monks. A group has been spotted, walking in a torchlit procession towards the abbey, accompanied by the beautiful and ethereal sound of Gregorian chanting.
