The Dark Hedges

The Dark Hedges
Ballymoney, Antrim, Ireland.

Dating to the 18th century, this avenue made up of 150 beech trees was create to provide a dramatic approach to Gracehill House. More recently, the avenue (known as the dark hedges) became famous as one of the filming locations for HBO’s Game of Thrones.

A ghostly lady in grey has been spotted here on several occasions. There are conflicting reports as to who she might be. Some say that she was a maid, while others suggest that she comes from an abandoned graveyard in the vicinity and has lot her way. It is said that she vanishes when passes the final tree.

In October 2014, Gordon Watson, discovered something unusual when he reviewed photographs that he had taken at the site. Is this the grey lady? What do you think?
