Many thanks to L. Johnson for suggesting this location.

On 16th April, 1921, Moyne House was mentioned in an article called ‘Local Haunted Houses’ in the Tuam Herald. The article states that on 6th October each year, a carriage and a pair of horses are said to appear and drive up the avenue. The article also mentions the owner of the house by name, Robert William Waithman.

An acquaintance of Waithman, Mr. Edward Kelly stated he witnessed the carriage and horses. In Mr. Kelly’s own words, he said the following: ‘he distinctly saw that carriage and thought it was someone coming to dinner at Moyne. There were lights on the two sides of the carriage and he saw it distinctly’.
