Loughmoe Castle

Loughmoe Castle
Tinvoher, Tipperary, Ireland.

The Purcell family lived on the lands at Loughmoe since the thirteenth century. It is believed that the oldest section of their ancestral home, Loughmoe Castle, dates to the fifteenth century and that it was extended in the 1600s and later abandoned in the 1700s.

An unidentified male spirit reportedly haunts the site. Some stories suggest that he took his own life at the castle during the eighteenth century.
