Lissadell House

Lissadell House was built in 1833 for Sir Robert Gore-Booth. The fine house was much admired by W B Yeats during his visits in the 1890s, and he claimed to have seen the ghost of one of his friends on the stairs. The fine gardens are also reportedly haunted by two phantom ladies.
