John Roberts Square

John Roberts Square
Waterford City, Waterford, Ireland.

According to one source, John Roberts Square (also known as Red Square), was believed to be haunted by the ghost of a woman near Penneys. Those who have seen her say that her style of dress suggests she is from the 1950s. If you listen closely, you can sometimes see her singing (some say warbling).

Thanks again to Leif for referring this. I am wondering whether the “warbling” could in fact be keening. I know this is rare these days but I am aware of women who still practice this tradition.
