Franciscan Well Bar

Franciscan Well Bar
Cork, Cork, Ireland.

The Franciscan Well Bar & Brewery was built on the site of a medieval monastery. Today, visitors can enjoy a drink in a lovely outdoor space surrounded by the walls of the old Franciscan monastery.

Staff at the popular bar claim that they have heard chains being rattled when locking up the venue late at night and that doors are pushed by unseen hands. But in the 1990s, a priest was called in to put manners on the ghostly monks that were upsetting the peace. Items were reportedly thrown around the venue, doors opened and closed by themselves and footsteps would be heard when there was nobody around. Staff also reported cold spots. So did the blessing work? What do you think?
