Many thanks to L. Johnson for suggesting that I include Convent of Mercy, Claremorris in this directory. I validate all suggestions and do my own research before publishing to see if there’s any more information I can share, so sometimes it can take a while for me to process them. Sometimes, evidence of an alleged haunting is too vague for me to include it without query. A site user, or another source, may have referenced activity at this property or in the immediate vicinity, but as yet I have been unable to verify it. If you have had an experience at Convent of Mercy, Claremorris or you can add further information, you can suggest an amendment here.

The ghostly apparition of a nun in traditional garb was seen looking out from an upper window in this convent, moments before it was about to be demolished back in 2017. This apparition can be seen in a video titled ‘Claremorris Convent Demolition’ on YouTube, by the Frame Productions channel, a TV and film production company based in Claremorris.
My thanks once again to Leif for suggesting another location. The Convent was adjoined to Claremount House, which still stands. Some people, including the videographer, dismissed the “figure” as a trick of the light while others said it was a hoax. What do YOU think?
